Fabio Cifariello Ciardi: Voci vicine 2.0,
a passion in four parts for journalist, video, ensemble, and electronics
Cantus Ensemble + Ensemble Icarus
Branimir Pofuk, journalist
Berislav Šipuš, conductor

Ten years after its original version, Voci vicine returns to the stage in version 2.0 to speak about the stagnant political, social, and cultural climate in Italy. In this concept, devised by the composer himself, voices from hundreds of short clips hidden in the corners of the internet form a striking chorus of appeals, accusations, and condemnations. A mixed ensemble and a journalist-narrator skillfully present a polyphonic passion of disillusioned, angry, desperate, and ironically cynical Italians in a performance both playful and deeply moving.

As the audience enters the hall, they will also hear a recording of the composition Interludium for synthesizer and tape, by Silvio Foretić.
