Cantus Live(s)! - 15 Years of Cantus Ensemble on the CD box

In collaboration with the Cantus d.o.o. label, the Cantus Ensemble released in 2016 a CD box Cantus Live(s), which includes the best live recordings spanning its long career.

 

The release contains as many as 13 performances ranging from the anthological pieces of Karlheinz Stockhausen all the way to the middle generation of contemporary Croatian composers. In addition to the Cantus Ensemble, there are also solo performances by cellist Monika Leskovar, mezzo soprano Martina Gojčeta Silić, flutist Robert Fabbriciani, violinist Martin Draušnik, percussionist Igor Lešnik, clarinetist Ratko Vojtek, as well as solo performances by the members of the Cantus Ensemble.

 

The CD was also nominated in several categories of the prestigious Croatian discography award Porin, while the Porin for the best composition in the category of classical music went to composer Srećko Bradić for his Concerto for flute and ensemble released on this album.
