Every year since its founding in 1995, the Days of Milko Kelemen bring together prominent Croatian and internationally renowned artists, in large part thanks to the international reputation of the doyen of Croatian music, Milko Kelemen, to whom the festival in Slatina is dedicated.

The Cantus Ensemble is a requisite guest of this Festival that, in addition to Kelemen’s opus, not only familiarizes and presents to the local audience the contemporary classical music but promotes and supports the youngest performers and composers.

Consequently, at the closing concert of this year’s Festival, the Ensemble will perform Kelemen’s composition Entrances for woodwind quintet, as well as a piece Die blaue Wald by a young composer Krešimir Klarić. It will also perform Ten Hotti by the Ensemble’s artistic director Berislav Šipuš, who will conduct the concert performance, while the Ensemble’s permanent member, clarinetist Danijel Martinović, will perform Spleen by the world-renowned Austrian composer, Olga Neuwirth.
