The Cantus Ensemble returns to Vienna’s Arnold Schönberg Center after a long pause in the “Croatian Musicians in Vienna” concert series, organized by the Cultural Information Center
The Cultural Information Center’s “Croatian Musicians in Vienna” series is a successor of the Festival of Croatian Music in Vienna that was for many years organized by the Music Information Center and the Zagreb Concert Management. For the 16th year in a row – from January to June 2020, during the first Croatian Presidency of the Council of the European Union – the program will continue to present to the Viennese audience top-quality Croatian musicians of all kinds and genres albeit under a different title and in a slightly different form.
In 2020, six carefully devised programs will be performed almost monthly in Vienna, ranging from the LADO Ensemble, which will open the series, through the Croatian Radiotelevision Jazz Orchestra and the Evocacion Guitar Trio all the way to contemporary Croatian music and the Cantus Ensemble.
The only Croatian contemporary music ensemble, in collaboration with the Arnold Schönberg Center and the “Croatian Musicians in Vienna” concert series, is planning to hold not only the concert in the Center’s Vienna location, but also a “return” concert in Zagreb.
