The competition for participation in the Festival of New Sound is open
The UPSUS association in cooperation with the S-UMAS and Cantus Junior HDS ensembles invites composers up to the age of 35 to submit their compositions to the first Festival of New Sound, which will be held in Sinj in 2023.
The goal of the festival is to promote contemporary music as well as support young composers and performers. It is a platform offering a meeting point for new collaborations and networking, a space for exploring new ways of musical expression. The ensembles S-UMAS and Cantus Junior will perform at the first festival, composed mainly of students from music academies in Split and Zagreb.
Submitted compositions must fit into one of two categories:
For the mentioned teams (S-UMAS and Cantus Junior)
or
For soloists and chamber ensembles.
Submission deadline is October 1, 2022.
