The Cantus Ensemble selected for the "Croatian Musicians in Vienna" concert series

The Croatian Musicians in Vienna concert series, a successor of the Croatian Music Festival in Vienna, organized by the Music Information Center will be held this year – for the 16th year in a row – exceptionally from January to June 2020. The aim of the series is continued production of carefully devised programs and selection of first-rate musicians of all kinds and genres to be presented during the Croatian Presidency of the Council of the European Union
We are extremely pleased that the Cantus Ensemble is among the selected top performers, ensembles and individuals. The only Croatian contemporary music ensemble, in partnership with the Arnold Schönberg Center and the Croatian Musicians in Vienna concert series, is planning to hold not only the concert in Vienna, but, together with the Center as an important institution in contemporary music production and research, also a “return” concert in Zagreb, at the Music Academy.
The program of the concert to be held on 27 May 2020, in the concert studio of the Arnold Schönberg Center, includes anthological pieces by A. Schönberg and Anton Webern, as well as chamber pieces by Croatian composers Stanko Horvat, Krešimir Šipuš and Sanda Majurec.
