CANTUS ENSEMBLE & CROATIAN MUSIC YOUTH CULTURE PASS

Concert and theater audiences in Croatia and across the world keep getting smaller and smaller. The fact that our audiences consist mostly of older citizens while younger people barely participate in cultural events proves that the situation is alarming.  Current audiences are disappearing, and new ones are not being established. In order to stimulate younger people to participate in the cultural life of the city and the country, and, in the long run, to constitute new audiences, the Croatian Music Youth (HGM) will begin issuing special membership cards. The Croatian Music Youth Culture Pass will offer young people (from 14 to 30 years of age) membership in the only Croatian cultural institution dedicated exclusively to them and, more importantly, encourage them to visit theaters, concert halls and museums on a regular basis. Owner of the HGM Culture Pass is granted free entrance to all Croatian Music Youth programs.

Cantus Ensemble, a steadfast performer and promoter of contemporary music as response to social and cultural processes of the 20th and 21st century - has recognized the importance of this initiative and invites all young people (and those young at heart) to join the ensemble at one of its concerts in the Cantus & Lisinski Concert Cycle.  Further information about the HGM Culture Pass, Cantus Ensemble and New Music is available at nina.calopek@hds.hr or kontakt@cantus-ansambl.com.

What is a CULTURE PASS?

It is a Croatian Music Youth membership card for young people (ages 14 - 30). In cooperation with ALL leading cultural institutions in Croatia, the Pass will provide discounts (20% - 50 %) on regular prices of concert/season tickets as well as theater, gallery, museum and festival tickets. It will also provide discounts on buying CDs, musical equipment etc. (more at http://www.hgm.hr/).
