Vojislav Čičić, percussion

Percussionist Vojislav Čičić has been a member of all major orchestras in Zagreb ever since 1968 until now. From 1968 until 1970 he was an active member of the Croatian National Theatre Orchestra in Zagreb, from 1970 until 1986 he served as principal percussionist at the Croatian Radio and Television Simphony Orchestra and since 1987 until today he has been principal percussionist of the Zagreb Philharmonic. Ever since 1969 he is present at almost every Music Biennale Zagreb. As there were no studies in percussion at the Zagreb Academy of Music at the time, Čičić studied percussion at the Akademie für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Graz, from 1975 until 1978, with prof. Franz Nedorost. Since 2003 he has been a full member of the Cantus Ensemble, with whom he gives many concerts in Croatia and abroad.
