Ivan Novinc, concert-master
The violinist Ivan Novinc received his bachelor's degree from the Zagreb Academy of Music in 2000, where he studied with Maja Dešpalj-Begović, with whom he pursued postgraduate studies. Novinc attended master classes with Maxim Fedotov, STRINGS ONLY master courses in Zadar with Maja Dešpalj-Begović, Valter Dešpalj, M. Maurer, O. Shourgot, L. Hond and also in Austria, with the members of the famous quartets: Amadeus, Alban Berg, Bartok, Janaček and the Prague Quartet. He performed as a soloist and as a member of chamber ensembles in Croatia and abroad (Slovenia, France, Spain, Austria, Italy, Germany, Turkey, Mexico, Japan, Sweden). As a soloist he performed with the Music schools' Symphony Orchestra and also as a concert master with the Chamber and Symphony Orchestra of the Zagreb Academy of Music. He has been a member of Croatian Baroque Ensemble since 2000, concert master of the CANTUS Ensemble since 2001, assistant concert master of the Zagreb Philharmonic from 2002 until 2006 and since 2004 he is the concert master of the Zadar Chamber Orchestra. He won high prizes on state competitions as a soloist and as a member of the Porin quartet, where he plays the first violin.
