Our 2011 highlights!
Dear audience, friends, colleagues, Year 2011 is almost behind us, but hopefully it will remain in our cherished memories and rich experience for a long time. Therefore, a big thank you all for your support, collaboration, compliments, honest listening, comments and criticism with which you followed us for the past 12 months.
Ensemble Cantus at Festival Trieste
Friday 2nd December, our Cantus troupe will be travelling to Italy, to perform Sydereus by the Italian composer Luigi Sammarchi at the festival in Triest. Apart from this world premiere, the performance of three chamber opus by the recently passed Giampaolo Coral will honour this Italian composer, who was a dear friend of the Music Biennale Zagreb and Cantus Ensemble, often to be seen at the festival.
Cantus Ensemble in the best ballet for 2011
Ballet Air by composer Krešimir Seletković and choreographer Martino Müller is awarded the Croatian Actors' Guild Award for the best ballet production for the year 2011. Developed in coproduction of the 26th Music Biennale Zagreb and Croatian National Theatre Zagreb, the ballet had its first performance during our festival in April this year.
MBZ 4 times nominated for Croatian Actors' Huil Award
